Welcome to the Washburn Heritage Centre

‘A hidden gem’ run by volunteers to celebrate the heritage of the wonderful Washburn Valley. A stunning extension to Fewston Church, it’s free to come in!

The Centre features exhibitions about the heritage of the Valley, and we run an extensive programme of events including walks, workshops, talks and courses. At weekends there is a popular Tea Room featuring a wide selection of homemade cakes. The Centre is fully accessible and is available for hire.

We are pleased to welcome back our resident birder, Paul Wheatley, for another of his popular walks. This time we will be meeting at 7.00 am to listen to the spring Dawn Chorus in a secret location. A short walk will focus on birdsong and interpreting the calls of the birds in spring. We will return to the Centre for breakfast baps. Further details of the walk will be announced nearer the date.

Cost £12 member, £15 non-member.
